Description

This recipe makes HEAPS of very tasty sausage rolls!

Ingredients

1 kg Sausage Mince
1 kg Hamburger Mince
2 x onions, diced
2 x Carrots, grated
1 x Bunch Parsley, finely chopped
5 Cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 Cup worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup tomato sauce
2 Packets of puff Pastry
1/2 Cup of Milk
1 Egg

Instructions

Firstly, get prepared by preheating the oven to 180 degrees.

Place the sausage and hamburger mince in a large bowl. Pour in the worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce. Also, add the onions, carrots, parsley and garlic and mix it all together well with your hands

Crack the egg into 1/2 cup of milk, mix it up and set aside.

Take a piece of puff pastry and place the sausage mixture along one side of the pastry. Cut the pastry lenghtways, leaving enough room to create a tube around the sausage roll. Brush the egg/milk mixture along the side of the puff pastry that you have cut, as this will help join the pastry.

Roll the pastry into a tube and then brush the egg/milk mixture over the top. Cut your tube into sausage rolls.

Place the sausage rolls on a baking tray and cook for 15-20mins, or until golden brown

Notes

Great for entertaining, or you can make a large batch and freeze the rest for another time.
