Description

Quick and easy meal that is super tasty! I usually make this if i have nothing left in the fridge / pantry.

Ingredients

1 Packet of macaroni
1 - 2 tbs salt
50g Butter
500ml Milk
2 tbs Plain flour
250g Grated tasty cheese
Parsley as garnish (optional, can finely chop and mix through)

Instructions

1. Cook macaroni in a boiling water (as per packet instructions), ensure to add a tbs or two of salt to the water prior to putting the macaroni in
2. At the same time, melt butter in a saucepan and add the flour
3. Cook over low heat, stirring for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes
4. Add milk gradually while stirring
5. Stir until the mixture just starts boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Remove the saucepan from the heat, add the grated cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
7. Once the pasta is al dente, drain and return to the pan.
8. Pour the sauce over the pasta and stir until coated

Sounds lovely, to turn it into Gluten Free you can use 35% heavy cream or evaporated milk ( instead of the milk and flour) and use GF pasta...
